I know what you mean about friends drifting away if you make the choice to shelve the writing, because I've seen it happen. I also know that several of the people in your immediate vicinity including myself have specifically not drifted from people who have chosen not to focus on writing for awhile. You'll still have a place with us, and we'll still want to be your friends. For what that's worth. It's not everything. It's what I've got.
