1) I got a nice pair of sandals with solid straps, good soles, and actual arch support. Which were marvelously comfortable for a week, and now are blistering the sides of my feet like woah. Straps got too loose? Straps got too tight? Inevitable result of new sandals in a style I haven't worn before, suck it up and slap band-aids on until the blisters turn into callouses? Inquiring minds (and pained feet) want to know.
2) Aubrey has never been very good at grooming herself, and so this morning she was given a bath, which went reasonably well. Fluffy greasy hair got soaked, coated in puppy/kitten shampoo, rinsed out, and then a towel was applied, while Aubrey merely looked a bit woeful. Right up until I managed to knock the shower curtain and rod down nearly on top of us, and a half-dried Aubrey bolted from the room. Poor kitty.
3) Got an email from the department advisor this morning, and found out that I have apparently PASSED THE PLACEMENT EXAM FOR ANCIENT GREEK OH GOD YES FINALLY. So that was nice. And now I need to go off to the co-op and see about buying a big stack of books, and work on my Cicero translation for the review session with my tutor tomorrow. (After an entire summer of Greek, I know I need to start brushing up on my Latin, and fast.)
