1) So, I'm on Google+. (Fade Manley, this username @gmail, if you're searching.) Turns out I use it mostly for things that are too long to express in 140 characters, but not really long/interesting enough for me to feel like they're "worth" a post over here. (Twitter was a godsend to the people who read my journal, I think, because it meant I stopped posting the "I just ate a great sandwich!" things here and stuck them somewhere else.) I also use it for sorting out reading lists. It's kinda nice. Not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but nice. The filters work pretty well for me, once I realized that circles of people I want to read together and circles of people I want to lock stuff to were often completely different sets.

2) You know what we got to in Greek today? The future and aorist passive! You know what that means doing? Going from memorizing the first three principle parts of verbs to "Actually, since you're adding the sixth part, just start working on memorizing all six principle parts." So I need to take this truly enormous stack of index cards and rewrite all of them with all the parts. And memorize them. Preferably by tomorrow.

3) I am loving A Dance with Dragons. Not so much when it started, but as the bleak starts getting punctuated by amazing moments of awesome, well. I am happy. But I have to keep putting it down and not reading it for many long hours at a stretch so that I can do my Greek homework, and that makes me less happy.

4) I keep wanting to write, and being ready to write, and knowing what I'd write, and then--realizing that if I have the energy to write? I need to spend it on homework. This makes me sad. But this too shall pass. At the end of the month, in fact. So I can wait. I really can.
