It occurred to me somewhat abruptly this afternoon, when comparing some of my current writing to things that I wrote years back, that one of the improvements I've made is that I don't meander and overwrite nearly so much as I used to. Sure, I still need to chop things down in the edit, but it's not half as rambling and verbose as it used to be.
Which puts the whole "I used to be able to write 3k a day easily, and now I struggle for 1k!" in perspective. So I'm going to sit back and feel good about that for a few minutes.

Okay, back to the writing that I'm doing instead of the homework I should be doing.
