I went to Paradise Lost, and it was pretty damn awesome. Also exhausting, despite being only a long weekend with one critique session and a few lectures. But especially for an introvert like me, the socializing was--while fantastic--also pretty draining. So I'm planning on spending tonight quietly playing video games, and tomorrow quietly doing household chores and starting on TRANSLATING ALL THE THINGS.

I'm also looking with all sorts of wistful expressions at Fourth Street. People have told me I should go, and when multiple people tell me I am likely to be welcome somewhere and also enjoy being there, I begin to believe them! So. Just staring wistfully at the moment--it is way too late in this day for me to make relevant decisions of any type--but it's a focused sort of wistful. (I wonder if anyone still needs someone to split hotel room costs with. Because that'd reduce the cost of going at least a little...)
Also, anyone who has not already seen Valente's story that's up on Lightspeed right now, "A Hole to China", should go read it. Because it is excellent. FYI.
