(no subject)

Ah, the joys of convention. And they really are joys! Rather...distracting joys. Which means I only get online to catch up on things and post when I'm completely overwhelmed by The Social and need a breather.

*breathes slowly*

Anyway. There was a panel on folklore that I didn't follow very well, and a panel on PoV which was interesting as all heck, and then there was cake! Also, very nice frosted cookies in the shape of computers displaying the Dread Blinking Cursor On A White Page.

(Not actually blinking, because, you know. Frosting. But terrifying nonetheless.)

There are so darn many interesting people here that I keep staring blankly into space, unsure of what direction to go. Or staring at people who I feel I recognize but can't place--or, conversely, who I can place but don't know well enough to feel comfortable starting a conversation with, and who I am probably making uncomfortable by staring too long. (Sorry?) I feel terribly awkward, but there are many lovely folks here who I've been having marvelous conversations with.

Also, they are teaching me how to drink whiskey. (I'm no good at it yet.) So there's that.
