Things for which I am grateful today:
* That I went to an excellent college that not only taught me how to think critically and separate analysis from casual enjoyment of (or agreement with) a text, but offered me a spectacular financial aid package. At current rates, I'll be paid off of my entire student debt within three years, and it's not currently a financial burden at all.
* That my family chipped together and got me a coffee vampire (Keurig, baby!) for a house-warming present, such that the spouse--who does not drink coffee--can easily wake me up in the morning with a delicious cup of hot coffee that makes the whole day better.
* That I have a house I love in many different ways, and am not in fear of losing it.
* That I am married to an amazing spouse (see above) who brings me coffee in the morning, and reminds me to eat when I despair at the entire nature of existence, and who has just enough small bad habits (towels! argh!) that I do not feel like I am taking advantage of him by hanging around and being my own imperfect self.
* That one of my cats continues to have no health problems whatsoever, and generally be a bright-eyed little monster who shows no signs of getting into more trouble than bringing bugs inside all the time.
* That I have this many video games. Seriously, they're pretty awesome.
* That I have this many books, and am able to continue acquiring more. Also pretty awesome, usually significantly cheaper, and edifying in all sorts of ways.
* That my friends put up with me, and have not yet shot me out of a cannon for my wailing about lack of wordcount, difficulty with chores (see: new house), or general despair for the world as a whole (see: low blood sugar). They are keen.
Ayup. That's what comes to mind right now.
