Have spent all day feeling woozy. This is what happens when I stay up too late watching terrible television (don't ask) and then sleep poorly. So what you get here today is...more transcripts of my exceedingly elementary Greek review!

(Seriously. It's chapter four. It is the opposite of rocket science.)

And Murrine (says), "What are y'all saying, friends? Are the Athenians really having a festival? Well, I especially want to see it; and you, Melitta, do you want to see it too? But it's impossible! My husband is...difficult. He always works and rarely wants to go to the city."

And Melitta (says), "But my father isn't very difficult, 'cause it's easy to persuade him." And Murrine (says), "Don't talk nonsense like that, but fill the water jar quickly; for it's time to return home."

So the mother and daughter quickly fill their water jars and walk back home. But on the road Melitta stumbles and drops the water jar on the ground and breaks it. Then she groans and says, "Drat, it's not my fault, because the water jar is big and it's impossible to carry it." And her mother (says), "What are you saying, daughter? Don't talk nonsense, but hurry home and carry another water jar."

So Melitta hurries home, and Murrine walks slowly; for the water jar is big and she doesn't want to drop it.
