Today has been full of minor frustration caused by sudden complications to what was once easy. We moved on in third declension, and hit all of the "...except in this case, where it gets more complicated/hypercorrects/does something weird for reasons too complex to explain right now" sets of words. I went climbing, and spent half my time there falling off walls--both new ones I was trying, and ones I'd done with less difficulty before--and the other half envying the muscle:mass ratio of the small children there for a camp, who were cheerfully scrambling up routes I couldn't even start on.

Then I talked to the manager of my favorite bagel place for a while, and discovered that this summer has been exceptionally bad for all the businesses on the Drag, for reasons of construction, lower enrollment, and general economy downturn. ("How's business been?" I asked, and she put in about six iterations of "very" before getting to "terrible" in her response.)

...but, you know. I'll probably be able to recognize the third declension even if I can't recreate it well yet. (Thank god for articles, eh?) I got in some falling practice, which actually is good; not freaking out every time I slip off and go THUD is probably a good thing. (And I'm glad I'd dragged a crash pad beneath me for the 'very easy' route where I finished it and then slipped off the moment I started to descend.) I have a bagel to eat now, which I consider a plus. And if UT would just give me my refund for summer classes, dammit...

Well. Just saying. If these are my big complaints, life is pretty good.
