We flooded again. A relatively minor flood, this time, despite horrific rain--just parts of two rooms!--so I am trying to think of it as "Wow! That really expensive anti-flood work we had done has saved us a lot of trouble!" rather than "For fuck's sake, can we do anything to solve this? Ever?"
Next on the attempt list: trying to have two trees removed (one may require a city permit) so that we can run a drainage ditch through a really bad drainage area, much of the 'really bad' being because of said two trees.
And maybe that will fix this.
And maybe it won't.

This. I still twitch a bit when it rains thanks to a roof leak a few years ago, and we didn't have nearly the trouble you've been having.
