Some days--okay, let's be honest, most days--I can be such a Bossypants. I've gotten better about not talking over people, but when I see someone struggling with something, whether it be a tricky word in a Greek translation sentence or a section of some climbing course, then if I know what to do next, by god, I want to share that.

So today I spent a lot of time trying not to helpfully point things out to my classmate ("Look at the accent mark!" and "It's the future form of 'to say'!"), and then went climbing with her, where I tried very hard not to micromanage her bouldering. ("If you just turn your right hip in..." and "No, that's the pink route, that's why it's hard to hold, go for the hold up above! The orange one!")

Fortunately, she has the patience of a saint, or just a very laid-back disposition, because she didn't seem to mind. And thanked me for advice! So that makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I just did a few orange routes--they took down my favorite route again, but with luck a new one is forthcoming there--and had fun demoing how to do particular moves, or pointing out where her foot should go next. She's certainly got more reach and flexibility than I have. I need to do more stretching.

Came home. Worked on Greek homework. I am drowning in verb forms, but I paddle earnestly onward; this weekend will, as usual, involve a Complete Vocabulary Review, taking up most of Sunday afternoon, in which I find out what words I've completely forgotten since the last time they came up.

And now to go flail madly at Team Fortress 2 with a friend. (It's a botariffic!)
