I can apparently cross-post easily. That's good! And DW uses the right icons on both ends. That's good! And it handles friends-locking appropriately. That's good!

...but I can't for the life of me work out how to get it to acknowledge any friends groups from LJ; it doesn't seem to know they're there at all. Which means that I can't post anything from Dreamwidth that I want to lock anyone other than a general friends list. And that's...inconvenient.

Still, I'll probably start posting from this direction for a while; it makes pretty much no difference to most people, might be more convenient for some people, and isn't really any more difficult for me. But it's going to be a bit annoying to have to swap back and forth depending on who I'm locking to.

I saw your post on Latest Things and couldn't help but comment as I believe that if you create access filters with the exact same names at http://www.dreamwidth.org/manage/circle/editfilters, you should be able to crosspost to the same filters on LJ. My apologies if this is what you've already done and it didn't work. If that's the case Support's here to help you.

Ahah! That's very good to know, thanks. I'll still have to figure out how to map my friends between the two services (among those who are on both), but that's quite useful.
