I was just setting up for homework a few minutes ago, and looked outside at the back yard. It's sunny today, but unlike 80% of the year, right now it's a good sort of sunny here. Crisp air, warm sun. An absolutely gorgeous day outside.

"Fade," I said to myself, "why are you wasting this lovely day on homework? Are you really going to sit inside and translate Greek when you could be out walking the dog on this glorious day?"

And on further consideration, I said to myself, "Five years from now, which would you regret more? Not going outside right now and enjoying this day, or not getting your homework done on time?"

So I opened a window and sat down to do my homework, because when I put it that way, the answer is obvious. Still. It's sort of a pity to miss such a nice day. Maybe if I get this Thucydides translated fast enough, I can still catch the tail end of it before dinner and sunset.
